Framing Research

Framing is just as important in this project as the images themselves. Below are some great examples of how I want my final image to look. I think that as well as making an extremely strong image over all when it is composed of several smaller strong images, I also think that these compositions make for interesting images. Pictures like this make you stop and look longer at the image and really take interest and examine each individual detail in the picture. And that’s the aim right? I want people to stop and take a longer look and an interest in my work.

There is a variation in how many images have been displayed on the page. For my work I have decided that I want to place 9 images on the page. It will be composed in 3 rows of 3. The reason being for this is that I managed to get 9 different models shot. I think that this is also a really nice format. I did have a little spare time to shoot more models but only the odd few. If I was to shoot more models I would want to do another 7 models this would make 16 images creating a 4x4 format. I don’t think that I would have had the time to do this and also I would have felt I would have to rush the images. This would affect the quality of the image and I don’t think it would have been worth it. I would rather focus getting the best images I can with the few models I had

This shows the format that I have decided to go with when framing my images. This was the inspiration for my project and I am glad to see that it hasn't changed along the way.
