Mid depth of field:

Natural lighting is defiantly what I want to use for this project and I think that this is a great and beautiful example of using natural lighting in portrait photography. I like that the light is coming from the back of the model and lighting her hair in an almost 'old Hollywood' feel. I think out of all the variations of depth of field, this is my favorite one. The model really stands out off the background. She is really sharp and focused and compared to the background what is really blurred. I think this makes you focus so much more on the model. There isn’t too much to distract you.

Fun images are the best. I think that this is something that I need to try and incorporate into my work. I always seem to be serious. Simple use of a prop could make the image fun. Again mid depth of field makes the background less focus and more of just a pattern rather than something that attracts your focus. The use of colour is really nice, if your going to shoot in colour why not make it bright and colourful.

Shallow depth of field:

I find this image really intriguing. I really like the colours in the image; I’m guessing maybe filters have been used on the image.  I like the tone and look of her face; it has a cold feel to it. This is different to something I would normally choose when looking at colour images I normally like them soft and sun kissed. I think the image is really strong and dominant. The way that the model looks straight down the lens with a very strong/stern face. I want to have a final image that portrays a strong feeling like this one does.
