Daniela Majic - Artist Research

I’m sure you expected this by now! Here is more work from my new obsession Daniela Majic…

The main reason that I have chosen these images is because they are a great representation of the look that I am aiming for. So far I might be being big headed but I think that I am doing pretty well. These are however wayyy out of my league of skill but one can always dream. The backgrounds on these are near enough flat colours, this is what initially I was wanting too but now I have found a link to what I have I like my way better (no offence Daniela ha). She has also taking a fashion approach to the look whereas I am aiming for a more arty approach.

Another reason I thought that these images would be appropriate for my research is the hair of the models in the images. They are all styled and to be fair I think that the most attention to detail in the shot has been paid to the hair. I would love to know what the aim was behind these images!

These two images especially have had loads of time spent on styling the hairs of the models. She has used colour chalks to change and add colour to the models hair and also added accessories. This is a good though but for my own personal work I want it to be a reflection of the model and her personality not something I have made her wear or do to her hair. It should be her own style.

The blue image I do really like the framing and crop of the image as this is something that I am aiming for. This would be a good reference point to use when in the studio as well so that the model understands the pose and style of image that I am aiming to create.
