Right this might sound daft but it’s what I think about my
images so far. I didn't intend for this
to happen, but when I look at my images the lighting has created an interesting
aspect of my shots. It appears to create a glow around the models head. This reminds
me of initially old Hollywood and the classic film stars and how they would
light the back of their heads.
This image of Audrey Hepburn shows what I mean. The glow
behind her head really illuminates her and draws you into the image. It makes
you look at her face and the fact that the edges out and get darker it almost
pulls you in to the center of the image. After realizing this I think that this
is a really beautiful attribute to my images and something I’m happy to have
accidentally made happen.
After thinking about this more I realized it has an ever
earlier reference and in fact it resembles paintings of saints and how they are
portrayed in pictures. Even though I didn't mean for this to happen I am really
happy because I think that this attribute gives my images a more classic and add
timeless feel.
