Further Layout Experimentation

Playing with the layout ideas more. Considering images that work together and also the placement on the page. Wanted to keep with the ideas that I have seen in ‘a year of mornings’.

This is my starting/reference point for this layout style. What I like about this is it gives the opportunity to add images that are similar to the page or images that will work to strengthen the enlarged image. It gives a contact sheet feel. Like the images are variations of the enlarged.
My interpretation of the layout and making it fit my work. I really like this and I think that this is something that can be molded to display my work in the best way. I was feeling a little unsure about using this book as a reference to layouts but now I think that it is the right thing to do for my work and I like how it showcases my images.
The choice of image and how I have laid it out is important in this case. I feel like the image on the right of the woman, the direction that she is looking in leads you across the page to look at the kids playing. Also the fact that I have put smaller images of other Indian women above I think works well as it shows variation of the same sort of subject. By doing this I can incorporate images that I like and think are strong in my book without it becoming repetitive page after page and becoming boring.
