Second part of the shoot is to do a close
up image. Again using the same lighting set up to really highlight the face, I really
wanted to capture a really nice and bright catch light in the models face to
brighten the image and also make the image have depth rather than being flat.
Again I think that I have really been able
to create a really nice contact sheet, every image is exposed correctly and
even tones throughout. Also managed to get a variation in
expression what was really important.
May need to work on the lighting in this image
a bit more as it is quite dark and there is a real contrast, maybe try and even
this out a little bit, but the fact that I have caught the subject mid laugh is
really nice and looking at the image really makes me smile. Its refreshing to
have an image that isn’t intense and serious as I feel this is what I always
produce, I might try and capture this more often.
This might be my
favourite shot from the shoot, I like that he has a natural expression but is
really warm and welcoming, it’s not intense. Really nice catch light in the
subject’s eyes, this opens the whole face up and gives depth to the image. I’m
happy with the framing of the subject and how his head is positioned in the
centre of the frame.
Although I think that
this image is really striking I think that it may be too posed for my liking
and this is something that I really didn’t want for this image. I wanted to
capture detail in the face and extenuate the features and I think by the
subject looking away this doesn’t quite come across.
