Shoot 5

This is my second attempt at shooting the head shot for my dad. And yet I managed to make the same mistake that I made in the first one. I didn’t realise that he had a black top AGAIN! So this means that yet again I have a floating head. These are so much better quality images, the exposure is better and the images are more in focus.

For this shoot I didn’t really change the positioning of the camera or the angle I just asked the subject to change facial expression on the position/angle of there head.

What I like most about this image is the way that the model looks as though he is in deep thought. It’s quite intense, I like the capture of the catch lights, and thinks that they draw you into his eyes.  The even lighting highlights the whole of his face, giving great detail into his features.

So these two images I don’t really like. The expression on the subjects face is not what I wanted to capture. Obviously because one of them he is talking. I think that they maybe just look a bit awkward, wanted more of a smiley face, something with a bit more expression.

Asked my dad to come up with a pose that he wanted and this is what he did. I mean seriously hes not all there in the head! But this shows why I love him and think hes so funny, again people think my dad is some harsh moody man, but this shows what me and my family get to see.

This is my favourite image from the shoot, and I so wish that he didn’t have a black top on because now I am going to have to reshoot and try and get an image exactly like this one. Maybe try and get a better catch light in the eyes to make them really bright.
