I used a Gray back drop in the shoot. I also used one light set up with a soft box that was placed high on the left hand side of the model. There was no light aimed at the back drop or on the right side of the model. Also the model was placed a fair distance away from the backdrop so that there was no light reflected onto it.

- What i prefer about this image is the crop. There isn't as much black area around the subject. The colour in his shirt really brightens it up. could have used a reflector to highlight areas on the right hand side of the face however i rather like the way you loose some of his features in the dark. Almost like the moody side is only half and from the image that's all you can see, but there is another side.
- One of the first shots, the lights were not in sink and this was because i forgot to use a light meeter before starting my shoot. can still see the detail but not as clear and bright as i would like to have it.
- I like the images without the hat because you can see more clearly were the models head ends and the background. Maybe loose it a little on the right side but if you look closely you can see it. It has a nice composition with respect of were the model falls in the frame. Not too cropped into but you can still see loads of detail in his face.
- This the model is sat far too near to the light making his skin look really white and almost completely loosing the other side of his face. Also do not like the framing of the image he is all to one side and lost his neck, makes him look fat.
Favourite Images:
I have decided that this is an option for one of my final images because i really like the expression on the models face, its slightly softer than others in the shoot and i think that it looks more natural (even though he does always frown) I also like the bright catch lights in both of the models eyes and also the light gives him a nice natural warm skin tone.
