This is a really bad copy of this image the one from the book is a lot more warmer and brighter. This is one of my favourite images. I just think that the girls eyes are so piercing and really break out from the image. I think that this is enhanced by the muck and dirt on her face, they make them seem all the more brighter and kind of scary. I think that the blue background really works well with the colour of her eyes, this also accentuated the colour of them. No doubt about it with out those striking eyes the image would not be as powerful or beautiful.

Lehnert & Landrock - 1914
I cant quite tell if this image is in focus or not. Or maybe it just has a real shallow depth of field because it seems as if the hand and smoke from the fag is clear but i feel like i cant really see the face. I don't like it because of this. I just find it really hard to try and work out. And her eyes look really dead.
