Showing depth of feild

I have decided to put this in to break down the idea of depth of field and be able to understand it more. This little graph shows the aperture and what it looks like - e.g. how big the hole is and how much light is being let through the lens – and also how using this aperture can affect the depth of field created in an image. I think that this is really simple and really hows the technical side of using depth of field.

A quick break down:
  •      The bigger the number aperture e.g. f22 these have a small hole but this creates a LARGE depth of field. A lot of detail and also would use a long shutter speed
  • The smaller the number e.g. f2.8 the bigger the hole and creates a SHALLOW depth of field. Only a tiny part of the image will be in focus. Short shutter speed would be used.

This shows the effect of depth of field after taking an image. Again I think that this is really self-explanatory. It’s really useful to be able to see just how much of the image would be in focus.
